San Diego Air & Space Museum - Balboa Park, San Diego
This is one of the most interesting museums in the park. In the summer of 2008, it also features "Star Trek - The Exhibition".
I did not go to the Star Trek one since I went in 45 min before closing. (And I am not a big enough fan I supposed).
An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the San Diego Air & Space Museum is home to the Apollo 9 Command Module spacecraft, the only GPS satellite on display in the world, one of the three RQ-1K Predators (UAV) on display, and a flyable SPAD VII and many other one-of-a-kind artifacts, from the early frontiers of flight to the exploration of Mars.
All of these are at the hall entrance of the museum.

Check out the gas price.
Here are the model airplanes on the wall.
Going back to WW-I timeframe.
My kid is enjoying himself.
Name this one ...
A huge scale model of a US carrier is on display there.
Minimum weathering, but the whole ship is cleanly done.
The Star Trek exhibition brings along this away-team ship you can go for a ride. $10 per person if I remember right.
There is a normal TV (not HD) inside that shows a mini show with the ship moving during the movie. The kid enjoys it. I do wish that the TV is HD instead of old projection type.
Other action games are also available.
The shop has some fun items to help you close out the show.
